Compression limits you should know

This tool optimizes and rewrites the PDF structure in the browser. It can reduce some documents, but it does not aggressively re-encode every embedded image. A scan-heavy PDF may therefore shrink only a little, while a structurally inefficient PDF may reduce more.

If the output is not smaller, the tool keeps the process transparent rather than claiming a fake compression percentage. For strict upload limits, compare the downloaded file size with the portal limit before submitting.
